Janina J. Kean, BS, MSN, APRN

Janina Kean is a Yale trained Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She spent 18 years of her career as the Chief Executive Officer for a Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. She then decided to come full circle in her career and go back to direct patient care. 


Now in private practice, Ms. Kean is available for speaking engagements, workshops and professional consultations.

  • Assisted in the development of a 501c3 Program for Impaired Lawyers and Judges in Connecticut
  • Designed a 21-day Substance Abuse Treatment Program that integrates the latest breakthroughs in addiction medicine for treatment of both the neurobiology of addiction and any co-occurring disorders into the time-test spiritual teachings of the 12 Steps
  • Researched, designed and implemented an 8-hour Family Awareness Program
